I am really worried...

The tests I have taken are getting lighter not darker. I took a digital and that said pregnant on Saturday but I took a FRER on Monday and today and they are lighter than the one I took on Saturday. Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think I can demand they do bloodwork because I am a nervous wreck. I don't want to lose another one.

    FRER's are the worst!!!!! I mean, yes, they can give you an "early" answer, but the lines are ALWAYS light on those.

    My first beta with my DS was 231 and then it was 716 (two days later.....) at that point my lines were still SO light on the FRER's.

    Same thing happened with this PG. My first beta was 103, 2nd one was 253 (2 days later.....) and even after my 2nd draw, the lines were light.

    I bought some of the CBE pee stick ones and my lines were super dark!

    Get something other than the FRER :)

    I always uses FRER and always had good luck with them. Yes the lines are light but usually early on....they do get darker the higher your beta gets. I had this happen with my 3rd m/c....they got lighter and lighter, and then i m/c. I hate to be a downer but just wanted to warn you. Good luck and keep us posted....O and I wouldnt hesitate to call the dr for blood work,,,it can't hurt!!

    Okay I am going to go and get a different test. That made me feel a little better. Thanks for responding. Were your lines getting any darker when you tested with FRER?

    TTC and pregnancy is so stressful isn't it?  Try what pp said, get a different brand of test.  Ask for betas, but remember, knowing your numbers isn't going to change anything...sometimes it just causes more stress.  Best of luck and keep us updated!

    I was certain that I was about to have my 3rd chemical when the frer lines got lighter. 2 days later they got darker again.  I think it may have been diluted urine or tests with less dye in them.  I also found that my lines were darker at night.  GL!

    I don't always trust lines on FRERs.  I think their tests can vary a lot.  Some of the tests have lines that are lighter and thinner than their other tests.  For example, I took 2 from the same box two days in a row.  The first one both the control and test lines were thin and light, then the next day, the control line was thick and light and the test line was dark and even thicker.  So even from the same box, they can vary a lot.

    I would see if you can get bloodwork just to put your mind at ease. My last pregnancy the lines did get lighter, and I ended up miscarrying. At least the bloodwork will give you a definite answer. Good luck!
