Really sad story - friend's dog

My friend called tonight.  Her dog got loose earlier this evening and MAULED the old lady next door.  The dog has never been aggressive before, so they don't know what happened.  But I guess it took two grown men to pull the dog off of her and my friend's 9 year old son saw the entire bloodbath happen.  The old lady was taken via ambulance to the hospital and was in pretty bad shape.

Obviously the dog will be put down.  I guess there is a 10 day waiting period, so my friend is really upset that their family pet is sitting in a cell basically on death row for 10 days.

They have four kids who love this dog.  I feel so bad for them.  I am praying that they don't get sued too.

What a HORRIBLE situation!

Please keep my friends and the old lady in your prayers.

    OMG, poor lady! I hope she recovers quickly. So sad. Sad for the family loosing a pet too.

    That's horrible AW I hope the whole matter can be over with quickly for everyone!!  I hope the old lady is ok and I hope the family recovers quickly as well!!
