    I heard about it on the radio just a few minutes ago. Who doesn't seat belt their children in?! DH freaks if I unbuckle to reach something!

    Wow - no, but if I'd been writing this post, I would've worded it pretty much exactly the same as you did. That is tragic, but what MORONS. WHO, in this day and age, does not know that in the event of a crash, child = projectile? Honestly...

    a couple of my friends are/were stuck in the traffic, I guess there was a horrific backup...this must be why...so so sad. Some people just shouldnt be parents...

    That is awful. For some reason when I read your post the first time I thought you said "mormon", not "moron".  And I was wondering how you knew they were mormons.

    On Sunday, DH was sitting in our car, while I picked up a birthday cake for my SIL. He told me that a man pulled into the parking lot and his young daughter (around 3) literally fell out of the car. The man stopped the vehicle and put her back in, then started off again without buckling her in. She was jumping up and down in the backseat.

    People are ridiculous. I cannot believe that some are allowed to reproduce!!! And apparently, these women are reproducing over and over again. They are lucky they weren't all killed!!!

    How horrible.  I just don't understand how they could have not made sure their children, or themselves for that matter, were wearing seat belts.  Ridiculous.

    I just keep thinking there had to be a good reason they hadn't buckled....because who does that unless there is some sort of major emergency they're trying to deal with/escape, etc.  I mean, I'm thinking to myself that if I were trying to escape something really terrible, I might not buckle Mads in, I might just grab her seat, grab her, and get the hell out and pull over later to be sure she's safely buckled.

    Other than something like that, I don't get it.
