schools around Great Lakes naval base

Any recs?  I have a friend whose husband has just received his orders to Great Lakes.  She hasn't been getting very good feedback about the schools.

    Unfortunately, the school system around the Great Lakes Naval is not known to be stellar.  There might be some better than others.  I'll ask my husband when he wakes up.  He is currently stationed up there.

    try lake bluff schools, they are great! There are some good rental deals in that school district! image

    We just moved to Round Lake.. but are in the Grayslake school district.  We wanted a 4br house (2500 sq feet,etc.) with good schools for under 250K and def had to stick to these areas out here.   Grayslake and Libertyville have great schools.  Round Lake is very affordable, but their schools are horrid.. so stay in the grayslake side of it.  Libertyville is way out of our price range, but is my favorite town in the area.  We go there for church, shopping,etc. it's about 15 mins.
