So I have a lot of pregnant friends on FB (some of you, even!!) and it bothers me when I have or someone will have "I am so tired" as their status, and some "helpful" person deems it their responsibility to remind me/my PG friends "oh wait until the baby comes, you will be soooo much more tired".
Um, thanks...I had...no....idea. Seeing as I had a daughter that woke up about 7 times a night while I was in the middle of student teaching, I think that's something I already know. But...thanks?
Sorry, little things are getting to me today! Oh, and I also loved when someone told me I wasn't allowed to raise my hands over my head because the baby's umbilical cord would wrap around his neck. Um, no...
Does anyone else get "helpful" advice?
Re: Stop w/ the unneccesary advice!!
Speaking of sarcastic witches...
[spoken with a look of wide-eyed innocence] "No WAY!! Are you for real?? Get OUT! Seriously, I had no idea!!"
Oh, and little things have been getting to me this whole pregnancy, so you just go ahead with your venting!!
Yup, and I get a lot of "helpful advice" from one of our friends whose baby is 8 months old, about L&D, about how the first few weeks will be, etc. Uh. . .we're different people, with different babies, and different DHs. . .things may NOT be the same. It's one thing if I was asking for this advice, but I'm not. She just bombards me with it any time I talk to her. :P I'm making a mental note NOT to do that to people once I deliver.
