We have most of our furniture but we had a really good friend who was just getting rid of her nursery stuff right after we found out we were pregnant. At this point I will buy something if it is on sale or i just find a good deal but will wait on the majority of the rest of my purchases until after my baby shower in Sept.

we finally picked out a crib but havent bought it yet...we are impulse people when it comes to picking things out so we are really trying to take our time knowing we dont have to rush

In laws wanted to buy our nursery furniture for us. FIL works out of state but he came home to visit when I was 13 weeks, so we went then. I thought it was still kind of early - but it all worked out! The set wasn't in stock so we had to wait until about 17-18 weeks to get it anyways. Since then I have bought curtains, bedding, a ceiling fan and some shelves. Still need a mattress, base boards, window blinds, rug and small little decorative things.

We bought bedding about 3 weeks ago, but that was only because it was being discontinued and it happened to be the only one I had come across that I really liked. DH is going to work on getting in the flooring and trim in July, and I plan to buy the nursery furniture maybe end of July/August.

We don't even have a bootie for the LO yet. DH is way superstitious and doesn't even want to register until the second u/s which is this Friday. So I guess we'll start registering and picking things out this weekend.

We got everything about a month ago. My inlaws bought our furniture (a very nice and unexpected gift) and then I bought all of my bedding stuff. I need to get my nursery done before I go back to school after summer break. You are not behind!

I actually haven't even bought a thing for my baby. I feel like such a bad mom. Tomorrow we're planning another trip to BRU and I plan on buying something for my sweet baby boy. I'm not planning on getting really busy with the nursery until my husband's work schedule clears up in October (I'm due in Nov)

We ordered our crib and dresser around 14wks but it won't be in until late July or August. I'm glad we started early.

We are just getting our furniture ordered this week. I bought our bedding about two months ago because I didn't plan on registering at that store and I thought it was getting clearanced out. Just this past weekend we started clearing stuff out of the room that will be the baby's room so that we can start painting. You have plenty of time.

I haven't made any major purchases yet though I just shipped a bunch of furniture and clothes x-country from my sister's place (it just left today)! I'm still focused on cleaning up the guest bedroom which will become the nursery. Storage options and closet space are my biggest focus right now!

I figure that there's no major rush to get it all done too early. Besides, I'm really happy with being able to get in some great research before I make all of the big purchases and finish up my registry. Good luck!

Starting next payday! I know some people that didn't really buy their furniture until after their shower a month before their babys due date. It just depends on the situation and if you have moneys to start buying it. I'd say if you know the gender and have the moneys you got a green light!

We bought our furniture about 2 weeks ago because it was on backorder. We didnt' want to have to deal with the bigger stuff at the end. Our bedding we found on sale around 6 weeks (early I know but it was 80% off and I loved it.) I still need to find some decorations and curtains for the room and we are choosing our paint color today hopefully.

we bought furniture at 17 weeks cause it takes 12 weeks to come in. i just ordered bedding last week so we can get started on painting the room. that's all i've done so far.

We ordered our furniture at 19wks (I think), maybe 20wks. They said it would take 8-12 weeks to be delivered, possibly longer if anything was on backorder.

umm...the big stuff is pretty much done. Walls are painted. Crib is in. Glider is in. Dresser is on back-order until July.

Only new nursery things I really need are bedding. WE just got a crib like 28 months ago for my son so we had all of his furniture still. No use to buying it all over again.

We got a crib a few days ago but only because it was super cheap from a garage sale. My cousin is also giving us her changing table. We are hoping to slowly get things.
