Ditto everyone else, but for me what was also important was feeling comfortable with the dr, ensuring it was easy to ask as many questions as needed without feeling rushed, and overall feeling. ?I interviewed one and I knew right away she was not the right fit. ?When I met with our current one, I walked away knowing for sure he is who we wanted to use. Trust your gut (along with everything else!)

I agree with pp that you should feel very comforable with the doc and go with your gut feeling. Also, a huge plus for me is being open on the weekends for non well child visits. If your dc is going to be in daycare, this would be a huge plus.
Re: Meeting with pediatrician this week...
- what's their stance on breastfeeding? will they allow you to give BFing a chance or push formula
- what's their stance on vaccinations - will they support a delayed schedule?
- what's their stance on antibiotics - are they quick to subscribe meds anytime H is sick or will they allow illnesses to run their course
- do you see just that pedi or whoever's available in the practice
- what is their availability? (my pedi gave me his cell and home phone number!@)
Stance on prescribing antibiotics
Vaccine schedule
After hours / Emergency protocol
That is all that comes to mind right now....
Ditto this and everyone else... I love that I can call and they will have him come in the same day right away if we need to.
