I need help w/a design...

Is it bad that I don't LIKE baby things? ?I mean, in general, most baby things like Pooh Bear and light blue and images of building blocks just don't appeal to me.?

I made an invite for my baby shower - at the request of my sis - and she doesn't like it cause it doesn't look babyish enough.

And she's probably right. ?It isn't really baby-like. ?But I like it that. ?Should I revamp this design to make it look more like a baby shower invitation? ?I guess I could use a more childish font? ?I don't want everyone to have the same thought that this invitation is not geared toward a baby...

    I think it's cute. And the nest definitely nudges toward baby with out overly stating it.

    I think it looks pretty darn cool but I'm with you on not really liking a lot baby Pooh. ;)

    Can you maybe add a momma bird swooping in to the nest ?  :) Heh. Or maybe use "baby colors" ?

    I am with you...SO NOT INTO POOH BEAR and your typical cutesy baby things!

    I say...if you like it, go with it! It is YOUR shower and it should reflect you and your style/personality! I like it!!

    Oh, I like it.  I tihnk it's very obvious baby shower with the graphics.  I wouldn't change a thing.

    I like it, but maybe you could add a baby bird hatching out of the egg and the momma bird feeding it?

    I LOVE your shower invites.

    I'm with most of you and I HATE pooh.  I am even thinking on making a stipulation of NOTHING POOH on my shower invites if that seems tackey, too bad!  I am a HUGE Disney person but HATE POOH.  I can see lots of pooh possibilities because of the Disney connection and there being so much friggen Pooh baby crap!

    I think your invitation is great but since your sister is throwing the shower and you are doing the invites to help her out, I feel like you should go with her wishes. I know it's weird since it is your shower but I think this is an unusual situation.

    ETA: Now that I think about it, maybe even just a change in your color scheme would satisfy your sister without making you uncomfortable.

    I think its cute and the nest does have to do with babies in a way. Besides it totally matches your nursery plans which I think is very cool! Personally I would leave it as is...I love it!

    I like it, and its not about what your sis likes...its your baby and your shower.  I would gently remind her of that if it were my sister.

    I am thinking also, even though it is your style.. to satisfy her, you could do the hatching,momma bird thing... just to give it the "babyish" style your sis is after... but if it were me.. I'd tell my sister that it's my baby, my shower, my style.. she'd just have to live with it!!

    A color change would make it more traditional baby style.  Even if it ends up being more babyish than you wanted it will still be way cooler than if the hostess designed/picked it.
