2nd Trimester

anyone have an ultrasound at 16 weeks?

And find out the gender?  My dr did one (portable machine in her office) at 16 weeks with DD to see if we could find out the gender, but we could not see anything.  I have my 16 week appt this week and I am hoping she does this again.  Has anyone found out that early?

    Dear Bump: You suck.
  • I have an appt. at 16 weeks for a complete anatomical check-out of the baby, and the Dr. said he is 99% sure he will be able to tell the sex, as long as the baby cooperates!! 10 days..I can't wait!
  • Ya, I had one at 16w1d and they guessed it was a girl. It was confirmed at 18w5d that it was for sure a girl. I also had another ultrasound at 22 weeks and she is still a girl. :)
  • I went to the fetal development Dr at 16 weeks. Since he handles high risk situations he has very sophisticated equipment

I was told he could give me a good guess.... but it would be only 60-70% accurate.  They do this on the angle or the dangle. The genitals arent fully developed until 19-20 weeks.

Check out this website. They all look like boys in the beginning
