Invite wording for co-ed shower?

Anyone have any tips for how to get this message across? I want it to be clear that it's more of a picnic and everyone is welcome.

    We are addressing the envelopes to Mr & Mrs and the invitation says they are invited to a "Shower/BBQ" - then at the bottom put "P.S. Bring the kids!"  Hopefully that will be clear enough!

    If kids are invited, address it to them as well.  For example:

     

    Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith

    Tommy Smith

    123 Main St.

    Town, State, Zip
