NPR: Recommend some good books!

My parents surprised me with a Kindle last night. I am beyond excited as I've been wanting one for years. Now I need to load her up w/books for my upcoming maternity leave/hospital stay! HA. (I realize there will be no time to read w/a newborn!)

I like anything: fiction, biographies, etc.....

    BTW, I read a bit when I was on mat leave with DD, I would read while she was nursing or sleeing in my arms.

    i am a huge Jen lancaster fan.  All of her books are enjoyable.

    I like jodi picoult, but my tastes are all over the map.

    Also a great great great book is Middlesex (forgot the author)

    And I?m reading a bunch of stuff by Richard Matheson right now that I?m loving.
