anyone had ovulation pain?

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has experienced ovulation pain. If so, where is it located? and what type of pain is it (piercing, dull, throbbing, intense)? Thanks.

welcome to gp! I get O pain. Its usually around my side, it is almost liek a cramping feeling for me.

I get it- it's a dull pain on one side (it sometimes alternates from cycle to cycle- but mostly I feel it on the left).

Yes, it feels just like AF cramps but mine are more intense on what ever side I will O from. On Monday evening I had bad cramps on my right side and the u/s on Sunday determined a mature follicle on the right!

I have O pain every cycle. To me, it just feels like AF cramping, though much much worse! Sometimes it's just one one side, but more often than not, it's all over my abdomen.

The last two cycles I have had some more intense pain (but also dull) just to the right or left of my pelvic bone. I am not sure whether it is o pain or something else. It happens about two weeks into my cycle so it is probable. I have only been off BCP for two months now and did not experience this pain the last time I went off BCP. I was just wondering whether pain was more centralized in the lower abdomen or closer to the hips? Thanks a ton.
