  We will be registering after we find out teh sex of the baby, which is June 25th.  Can't wait!

  I registered the weekend after my 19 week big u/s. Also, I registered at both BRU & Target.

  I registered the weekend after I found out what we were having. We wanted a lot of gender neutral stuff, as this is our first baby too, but we also wanted some girly things for her.  So, I would say I registered at about 19 weeks.  I knew my first shower wasn't for months,but both mom and MIL love to stop in and pick up some things for the LO. 

  Also, yes we registered at two places...Target and Babies R Us.  Target has some better prices, and Babies R Us just has more of a selection.

  i'm registering on the 20th. i'll be 21 weeks then. 

  i'm registering at 2 different places. buy buy baby and baby r us.  

  and the only reason i'm registering at buybuybaby is that i want the 10% off for furniture & stroller..

  We registered at 20 weeks after we found out the sex. We only registered at BRU but it's perfectly okay to do more then one place.

  We find out the sex on wednesday and we planning on registering at BRU after if baby cooperates(we might even if we don't find out I want to go mostly?neutral?either way)and target and PBKs the following week. We also will be having 2 showers. We?figured?if we registered now then we are ready for?either?shower and people can get gifts or whatever whenever they want.

  Depends when your shower is or when you find out the gender. I registered a little early for non gender specific items at like 18 weeks and the rest immediately after big u/s at 20. Our shower is a month away

  Oh and I registered at 2 places because not everyone has a BRU near them. I had to drive an hour and a half just to get to one to register.

  After 20 weeks.. then you know the sex (or have chosen not to) and the chances of anything happening (preg complications) are slim and it's a good time to start researching stuff etc.  You never want to register too early b/c stuff can be discontinued, new stuff comes out, etc.

  I registered this weekend at 2 different places. ?We are not finding out the sex of the baby so I did not need to wait for the big U/S. ?I registered at babies r us and at ?nini and loli a local boutique but you can make purchases on line and just have them shipped.

  We're probably going to start this weekend. We're not waiting until we find out the gender of the baby because we're registering for almsot all gender neutral things and DEFINITELY will not be registering for any kind of clothing. I have 11 niceces/nephews so I'll have all the clothes I need. Plus, despite not registering for clothes I know I'll get some. People can't help themselves.

  This is so true...we were so excited to start registering, but forced ourselves to wait after having to shop from a friend's registry with practically NOTHING still available.
