I have seen so many of you on this board talk about how your LO's are 3,4, or 5 months old who still love to be swaddled. Why is it that my 1 month old despises being swaddled? Earlier this week he was being particularly fussy after I swaddled him and put him to bed. I was staying up for another hour or so and so I decided to do an experiment. I unswaddled him and put him in one of his sleep sacks to see if this helped. He fell right asleep! The next few nights, he has gone to sleep so much easier and is only fussy when he is hungry or needs to be changed. Is my baby just odd or are there others like him?
Re: DS hates to be swaddled!
My DS was just like yours! HATED the swaddle.......but.....LOVED the sleep sacks! When we realized he was not liking the swaddle and started using the sleepsack, everyone was so much happier

My DS never liked to be swaddled and would always break out of it. I think we quit swaddling him at around 3-4 weeks old.
