funny story RE finding out about having twins

one of my friends at the shower yesterday told me she didn't find out that she was carrying twins till she was 31 weeks!! 

don't ask me how could that be possible b/c we were all shocked (and laughing at her)  This is a girl who got pg THREE times on the pill.  She had 2 boys before and just had boy/girl twins.

apparently she had an u/s at 14 weeks and then none after that, but they wanted to double check the baby's heart for a murmur b/c her 2nd son was born w/ one.  she went in and the tech was like "um......LOOK!"  she started hyperventillating while her H was proclaiming he had super sperm.

so 3rd tri'ers............COULD YOU IMAGINE!!!

    OMG! It's shocking enough finding out early, but I couldn't imagine finding out at 31 weeks.  LOL at her H and the super sperm.

    Sometimes I wonder if there's more than one in there - when she's dancing around and it feels like a circus.  But I've had 4 u/s and know there is only one and can't imagine finding out so late that there are two!  Or being one of the people that don't find out until delivery - that would be quite the shock!!

    I would freak out if at my next appointment they had that dropped on me.  I'm having a hard enough time imagining being a mommy to one baby, much less two (or in her case, 4!).

    Wow!  That's crazy.  And my DH would totally say the same thing, probably right before passing out.

    Wow - I really can't imagine that!  We secretly hope every time, but we've had 3 u/s and there's only one, despite our 2 embryos.  But I am struggling enough carrying one.  She must be a champ to just deal with 2x the kicking and take it in stride as one!!

    Back in 2000 a neighbor of mine was pregnant...She went into labor and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl...After delivering her they realized she was pregnant with twins she delivered another beautiful baby girl...The girls were in perfect sync with heartbeats and they never saw it on the ultrasound
