Well DD will be 18 months when the new baby gets here and I am planning on keeping her in a crib. The new baby will also have their own crib. I am not ready for DD to have free roam of her room. Is anyone else going to keep their 2 yo in a crib?
my 2 are still both in cribs. dd1 will be in a bed by the time dc3 comes, but for now - im not going to fix whats not broken. the last thing you want to do is move a child before they are ready - just bc another baby is coming.
DS will be 16 months old when the new baby arrives and we bought a new crib for the new baby. Like you said, I am not ready for DS to be able to get out of his bed yet...I think that will result in him being all over the house all night long!! We will keep him in his crib as long as possible.
Ours are 17 m apart and both in cribs. I don't plan on moving my daughter for quite some time. She's comfortable in there and I have enough going on without managing the transition to a bed right now.
I kept DS in a crib until he was almost 3. DD #1 could climb in and out of the crib like a pro at 21 mos. so we got her a toddler bed and gave the baby her crib. I had hoped to keep them both in a crib.
DS will be about 20 months when the next one is born. Then LO would spend at least 3-4 months in the cosleeper. My cousin has a toddler bed she's holding for us so I figured I'd transition DS sometime in that time frame and use the crib for when LO was ready.
I plan on getting another crib. DS's crib can convert to a toddler bed, so that's an option, but I'm not going to rush it. If he still seems like he needs to be in his crib, I see no point in forcing the transition.

Due to circumstances (DH military and will deploy and at that point I will move in with parents to have help with the kids), I have not yet decided if I will buy a 2nd crib or not. This baby will sleep in the bassinet of the PnP until s/he outgrows it by weight. Depending on when that is and how soon I will move at that point, this baby my just be sleeping in the PnP for quite a while.
My girls are both still in cribs at 8 and 26mos respectively. They are 18mos apart and we kept DD#2 in the co-sleeper bassinet until 6+mos in our room before transitioning her so DD#1 was already 2, but she loves her crib, sleeps incredibly well for naps and nighttime and I want to keep her in her crib til close to 3. We were of the mindset, if it isn't broke - don't fix it I also wanted as much to remain the same for DD#1 as possible with a new baby in the house.
Re: whose going to keep both little ones in a crib?
DD was 14 months when DS was born and they both have cribs. She is still not ready for a toddler bed. Plus her crib didn't match his furniture.
If #3 is a girl DD will get a twin bed. If #3 is a boy I will buy another crib and put it in DS's room. All of the cribs convert to toddler beds.

Both our girls are in cribs. The older dd is 23 months & I don't plan on converting to a toddler bed just yet. I'm going to wait as long as possible.
I also have to say your dd is beautiful!! That picture is stunning!!
Ditto this exactly!!
