Returning Gifts

My class gave me a wodnerful surprise baby shower today.  I recieved a bunch of clothes from BRU that I would like to return.  i already started adding some of the clothes I recieves to our registry, but I was wondering if I need to add everything to return it.

Also, what is Targets return poilcy?

Re: Returning Gifts

  • I don't know about Target, but from what I hear about BRU, you'll  most likely need to add everything you want to return. Some ladies on here have been lucky, but I wouldn't want to drive all the way over there and take the chance of not getting the super nice and helpful saleslady.

  • unless you have a gift receipt everything has to be on the registry and then marked as purchased. i had to go in store to add stuff bc not all was online. thats so cute that they gave you a shower!
  • Target really seems to depend on your particular store. Their official policy is no returns without a receipt or the card the item was purchased with. Some stores will do a certain number (I think 3) under a certain monetary amount per person (with ID) per year with receipts. Some will take back anything as long as they sell it and the tags are on it. Some will do exchanges, some won't. Some are just like BRU in that as long as it's on a registry you're good to go. It really depends on the person at the counter that day. I would call and ask your specific store, but I would definitely not count on getting much out of Target, they are notorious for their Draconian return policy.?

  • When I returned stuff to Target they just had me print out what was purchased off my registry and then did the returns.  The stuff I was returning wasn't even on the registry but they still scanned it.  From what they lady said they will return stuff that isn't on your registry as long as you are registered there.
