what's a pregnant girl to do...

on a beautiful Saturday?

I'm 37 weeks and it's starting to get a little hard to be as mobile as I used to be.  I'm trying to think of ideas of what to do today. Was thinking of going to the Bronx Zoo but figured that would be too much walking....maybe going into the city, but that would be too much walking...

What are you doing today? I need some ideas!

Thanks!

  • What about central park? plenty of things to do and places to sit if need be.
  • Central park would be great but not sure if my hubby will be up for it.  I forgot to mention, I'm supposed to be taking it kinda easy because I have borderline low amniotic fluid, therefore my doc has been monitoring me closey.  My husband even closer.....he won't let me do anything that slightly produces a sweat!

Well maybe you could just have a picnic instead of walking around!  I'm not familiar with central park at all but it seems like you could just find a nice spot and sit and relax in the shade and have a nice lunch!

I'm having a pedi and then a long leisurely outdoor lunch with friends. I'll get to enjoy the weather, not not too much walking. (I'm also supposed to take it easy this weekend).

  • We're or should I say DH is continuing to purge the house to make room for the baby.  He's a pack rat and has boxes of stuff he never went through when he moved in 9 years ago.  We have to much stuff and have to donate, squeeze into the attic and shift stuff in 2 bedrooms and an office to empty the baby's room.  We're following up with the contractor to see when he's going to start the adjustments we're making to the baby's roorm, doing laundry, oil change for my car, DH needs a hair cu, post office, paying bills, filling out the hospital registration forms, calling ViaCord to set that up and then we're meeting friends for dinner.  It's raining here.

Tomorrow is suppose to be nicer so we'll go house hunting if we complete everything from todays list.  Our current house was mine before we got married and is on the beach.  We need a house that is closer to work for when the baby comes.  I have over an hour commute and so does my husband which won't work with having a child considering we have careers not jobs so we don't have set hours.  We usually work anywhere from 12 - 15 hours a day.  The second house will cut the commutes to about 30 minutes - which will help alot.
