We've been trying to get him to sleep for hours now. He'll drift off then wake up half an hour later and scream/cry and yawn. We've done everything. I know he's exhausted I just don't know how to get him to sleep.
This would be the exact reason we had a horrible day. It's my fault for having an unexpected Drs appt that screwed up his schedule. All I can do is nurse him, rock him, take him on the porch swing, rinse, lather and repeat. For literally 8 friggin hours. I am ready to cry or tear my hair out-maybe both.
I am not help, just interested in answers. Mine does this once a day, usually late afternoon. My husband thinks I let her nap too long in the morning and early afternoon. But I can tell when she tired and regardless of how long she naps previous we always have a break down.
We usually take turns bouncing and walking with her, pacing the family room and kitchen. It usually works just takes a while. Like hours sometimes to where she is sleeping deep enough to put her down.
I am having that same issue right now too. It sucks. I actually started feeding Riley more formula and that seemed to work. I am now using a pacifier to help. She is so tired and for some reason she fights getting to sleep at night. I thought that it was gas but I am now thinking that she thinks she is going to miss something. I have been walking around and holding her and sometimes that works. I really don?t know what to say to help you out other than you are not alone!
