Long Island Babies

Medical Schools?

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Does anyone know which Long Island schools are respectable schools to practice medicine? I'm interested in possibly changing careers and I have always been interested in the medical field (maybe not becoming a doctor, but the other careers in and around a hospital or doctor's office).

Any help you would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

Re: Medical Schools?

  • This post is way old now, but oh well I just found this board so I might as well answer.  Stony Brook University is very high up there for medicine.  People travel far to go there.  If you are interested in nursing then Suffolk Community College is more affordable and has a very good nursing program.

  • I went to Brandford Hall career institute. Its a tech school in Bohemia. I got certified for Medical Assisting, phlebotomy and EKG. it costs around 10k without any grants.
