Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Who uses Huggies diapers?

A couple of weeks ago I posted a diaper poll because we started having leaks w/ Luvs.  DH picked up some Parents Choice at Walmart and we were having luck with them... until at least the past few days.  That's when I really started saying what the helll.  DD is changed every 2 hrs.  I have Huggies coupons so I was wondering if anyone could rec the Huggies they use?  DD is 14 months, walking, active.  I figure try Huggies since I have coupons, though I'm not excited a bit about the cost they probably are.

TIA!

Re: Who uses Huggies diapers?

  • I use cloth, but the disposables I keep on hand are Huggies. They work really well for us...I mostly use them overnight (regular or natural care, not the 'overnights') ~ the clothies just aren't able to stand up to STTN.

  • I honestly would go up a size before you start dishing out extra money for Huggies. We buy Luvs in a 4, and it's MUCH better.

The Luvs (and Parents Choice) are a size 4.  Not to sound dumb... but should I try size 5?

  • Hmm, my DD drinks a LOT of water during the day, and she still doesn't go through that many. I don't know, if you want to use Huggies, you could, to see if it helps, but I found that I had to buy Huggies a size larger than she wore for the other diapers, and that's going to cost you extra on top of it. Maybe try size 5? If it doesn't work, you'll have diapers for the future as an emergency.

  • We use cloth but before I switched, we used Huggies Natural Fit and I keep them on hand for if we have to have disposables. I also like Publix diapers if  you have on of those near you (similar to the huggies).

  • If you have a Sam's Club membership I recommend their member's mark brand. They're just like huggies but cheaper. That's one of the main reasons we keep our membership.

I actually brought this up to DH.  That I heard Costco and Sams brands were good.  Well, our parents have memberships there, so that's always an option!

  • I've been using pampers cruisers and have liked them but they are SOOO expensive. I just tried switching to huggies but i think he may have gotten a rash from them. not much help, sorry.
  • i LOVE huggies. They are the best diapers I've tried, & I've tried a bunch. I can't stand how the parents choice ones feel like cardboard. We use the red box, snug & dry. I use coupons & they're usually on sale at target.

Definitely give it a try. I've tried both huggies, pampers and white cloud(I think) because we got them at the shower. They were no better than the member's mark. And member's mark just redesigned their diapers and they're now softer than I remember the huggies being. If you don't like them you can always return the opened box.

  • We normally use Seventh Generation but we have used Huggies before and liked them. No leaks or rashes. We liked that they were unscented too. We also use Huggies Overnites.

  • I've probably bought more Huggies than Pampers (for me it depends on what's on sale/what I have a coupon for).  I have never had a prob w/Huggies (or Pampers for that matter).  We've always done the Overnites.  I think Huggies (other than the all natural ones they just came out with), only come in one type in the bigger sizes.  I've found Huggies are true to size.

  • We use Huggies in the red box (we get them at Sam's Club). They are the only diapers we will use. But I have noticed that dh needs to go up to the next size before he hits the max weight for the diaper.

We've tried  Pampers and they gave him a rash. We've also tried the Sam's Club brand, which are a lot like Huggies, except for the tabs don't stick out as much and with a squirmy baby I found myself cursing those hard to find tabs - so we went back to Huggies.
