  • I just bought a Graco Lauren crib for DS. I got the espresso color. I like it so far.

  • I got a Pali convertable off of Craigslist (came with matching changing table, dresser with hutch, & glider with ottoman for $500).
  • I got the Sorelle Vicki crib in espresso from BRU. It looks pretty even though it's completely empty right now!

We have it in Natural.  I think for this LO I am going to get it in walnut with a matching dresser.

  • #2 is going to get DD's old furniture (Munire Essex). We bought DD a new crib and dresser. (Munire Savannah)

  • I decided to wait until after DD #2 was born to get a crib since she was going to sleep in a bassinet at first anyway.  I'm so glad I did because about a month after we brought the baby home DD #1 perfected climbing out of the crib.  So we ended up getting DD #1 a toddler bed and handing down the crib to the baby.  It was rough for a couple of weeks but it worked out.  I had looked into getting a crib net but they're pretty pricey, plus the reviews said they don't work on convertible cribs which is what we have.

This is what we plan to do as well.

  • I'm thinking I'll get a portacrib of some sort. That way when we move DS to a bed, the baby can have his crib and we can use the portacrib for my parents' vacation home, rather than lugging a pack n play every time I go there.
  • I had a Pali for my daughter, liked it, and so got a Pali for my son. I considered getting a Pottery Barn Kids crib this time, but decided to stick with what I knew...
