How many cm were you dilated when you went into labor?

    At my last appt w/my first I was 1cm.  I think I was 1cm for 2-3 weeks.

    I was 1 cm for several weeks.  When they checked me after my water broke, I was 2 cm...and stayed that way for 24 hours.

    Well, I didn't go in right after my water broke. I'd been in labor for 3 hours when I was first checked and was 3 cm.

    The last appointment I'd had, I was only 1cm and that was probably a generous measurement.  My water broke and when I went to the hospital I was 1.5cm.

    1st baby: no dilation that I know of.

    I started contractions at 1am, lost my mucous plug and had bloody show. My contractions were never consistent though so the doctor's office wanted me to wait until they lasted longer and were closer apart.

    I finally begged them around 11am to let me come in for a check. They finally agreed and I was 5cm dilated. Went to the hospital, had her 3 hours later.

    2nd baby: no dilation, I was induced 5 days past due

    My OB didn't check till I was 39 weeks, but that appt was on a Monday morning and I was 1cm.  Tuesday afternoon around 3pm, I lost the MP and I started having contractions a few hours later.  I went in that night around 9pm and I was at 5cm, and was fully dilated within a few more hours.

    I was 4cm when I was induced.  But it didn't mean much... my induction failed.

    I was 3cm at my 39w appointment and went into labor 2 days later and when I was checked at the hospital I was 4cm.

    1cm for 2 weeks. When I had bloody show I was still only 1 cm, after 1 hour of walking at the hospital I was 1 and a little cm.  DD was born 2 1/2 days after bloody show...I had a long labor.
