We're not "actively trying", but we're not "preventing" it from happening, and are both hopeful that it will happen relatively soon. I've begun thinking of cute and memorable ways to tell my hubby when we get pregnant, so that it is truly a special event and he feels involved in the pregnancy right from the start.
Does anyone have any ideas??
Re: How to tell the Daddy-to-be....?
I plan on jumping up and down on the bed to wake his ass up while waving the pee stick in his face. (whenever it might happen)
He will probably remember that forever.
This is how I am pretty sure it will be for us too. We both work, so I will most likely test when we are both home. Actually he will probably be downstairs thinking that I am just testing out of obsession and then run up when he hears the screams :-) Can't wait for that moment! I am having more fun trying to think of fun ways to tell my parents and in-laws.
I had bought cutesie onesie's when we first started trying to be prepared.
20 months later when I finally got my BFP - I'd completely forgotten about them. For about a week after BFP.
for BFP I came in the room, turned on the light, woke his ass up, and stuck pee sticks in his groggy/unfocused face

Thanks everyone! keep the suggestions coming!
Right now, I'm leaning toward getting a few books (he's a huge hockey fan, so probably 50 Below Zero by Robert Munsch, Z is for Zamboni, and the Hockey Sweater) and tying them up with pink and blue ribbon and writing a note on them saying "Daddy, I can't wait to meet you! Love Baby Szem"
Thats what I did!! Hes so involved with the whole TTC process. He knows when I POAS even if I dont tell him!
I've said this on here before, so I'm sorry if you all have heard it already.
When we started TTC I asked my DH if we wanted to be there when I tested or be surprised. DH loves, loves, loves surprises so I wasn't shocked that he said he wanted to be surprised. So, I ordered personalized fortune cookies that say "there will be a new addition to your family soon." When I get my BFP I will pick up Chinese take out (his fave) for dinner and throw the cookies in there.
Unfortunately, though, this is cycle #8 and the cookies are probably stale now. Oh well, he doesn't have to eat them. It's whats inside them that counts
I love this! What a cute idea! Where did you order the cookies from?
Oh, I like this idea too!
I love your idea- it is so thoughtful. DH is also the same way. He LOVES surprises.
Do people propose that way? Shows you what I know. You know me. Not very romantic
LMAO. I heart you savat. And you have email.
