Last night around 1115pm I started feeding Isabel. She's connected to a sleep apnea monitor because sometimes her reflux comes up and she stops breathing. Well, about 15 minutes after she went to sleep the sleep apnea monitor went off but this time the apnea light came on. I looked at my baby and her eyes were wide open and she was floppy. ![]()
OMG, I wanted to die. I screamed for my husband, I was patting her back and she was NOT reacting. We called 911 and they got lost. It took them 3 bazillion years to get to our place. Anyway, she started breathing but she was sooooooooooooo lethargic. It took her a while to start crying. Finally she did and she was fine, cyring loudly, and acting normal.
I don't know how last night didn't give me a full head of gray hair. I am so traumatized and upset, you can't even imagine. I don't wish this on my WORST enemy. I'm sorry but I needed to share this with someone. We're taking her to the pediatrician this morning to see what exactly happened because it was NOT her reflux. She did not have anything come out of her mouth or nose, so basically, we're at a loss. Thanks for reading.
Re: Ughhhh, we had an emergency with Isabel last night
Thank you. I used to hate that machine, now I want to keep her connected to it until she's in college. For real.......

Thank you. This is the first time the apnea light came on. However, due to reflux, she's stopped breathing before but she was awake and had formula coming out of her nose and mouth. This time NOTHING came out of her nose or mouth and you should've seen her. Her eyes were blank. Quite frankly, I thought she had died......=(
ditto this - your in my thoughts and prayers for some answers...
Thank you. It was horrible. We're making an appointment with the pedi now.

So dreadfully scary! OMG my heart dropped into my stomach reading your post.
I'm glad that your DD is ok - hopefully the pedi will be able to provide you with some answers today.
Could it have been the reflux but not to the point of having it come out of her mouth/nose? Could it have just been in her throat?
That is terrible! I am so HAPPY she is okay and hope you can get some answers. I would be traumatized!!!

Wow!! I can not even imagine how that would be like. Its weird how easy my kids can make me worry, and I think it starts at conception. I hope you have a good day.

I am so sorry you had to go through that. I can't imagine how scary that must have been.
Poor Isabel. I will say a prayer for her.
