Miracle Blanket Success Stories

Did anyone find that their LO slept much better with a Miracle Blanket over a Swaddle Me blanket?  We started swaddling LO even though he didn't seem to like it at first and he is getting use to it and donesn't protest as much.  He is also sleeping better with it, however I did just order a Miracle Blanket hoping that will help as well.

Also, if you swaddle, do you swaddle for day time naps as well or just at night?

TIA!

Re: Miracle Blanket Success Stories

  • The only difference that the MB had over the SM blanket is that it helped to keep DS hands in place.  He would often wiggle is arms out of the SM blankets.  Now, whenever we place him on any swaddle blanket he automatically puts his arms by his side and allows us to swaddle him...it is the cutest thing!!  We rotate which swaddle we used based on whichever one is clean at the moment and DS doesn't seem to mind either of them.

I will say that the MB isn't so easy the first few times.  It definitely took us some practice until we were able to successfully swaddle him in it.

We swaddle DS for his 1 long nap during the day (3-4 hours) and also at night.  HTH

  • We use the Swaddle me but honestly I haven't tried a Miracle Blanket yet, I'm just not ready to pony up the $30-40 they cost.  We swaddle her for all sleepy times, naps and at night.  It's part of our "time to go to sleep" routine so we can be consistant.

  • We've been swaddling DS since day 1. We used the swaddle me in the beginning but he kept breaking free of the velcro as he got older. He's 3 months now. We tried to leave him unswaddled but he sleeps terrible like that. We ended up getting a miracle blanket about a month ago and within 1 week, he was breaking free again. We onlyl swaddle off and on now since he is getting better with sleeping. We have been swaddling for nighttime and naps (only if he was overtired and fighting sleep). Hope this helps.
  • The Miracle Blanket success story belongs to the store we bought two of them from for $60 total because we thought it worked for a couple of days- turns out she was just tired because then she started waking up every 20 minutes and we accepted our little stomach sleeper.--unswaddled, of course.?
  • When DS was tiny I swaddled for both daytime and nighttime sleep. I still swaddle for both actually Embarrassed He has outfgrown the MB, so we se a large swaddle me.

  • I didn't like the MB at first but we LOVE it now. It's the only way he will sleep in his crib and he is basically STTN now.
  • I love our MB...this is the only way DD sleeps for more than a 2-3 hour stretch because she is a very restless sleeper and would startle herself awake.

Now, she sleeps 6-8 hours at night and she seems way happier during the day because she is getting more rest.

Now, if I can just figure out how on earth she is turning 90 degrees in her sleep while swaddled (this is the past 2 nights)...crazy girl!

  • we were using the Halo Sleep Sack until she began breaking out of it around 2 months.  a very dear friend gave us two MB's and we love them.  though she has broken out of them a couple of times it was due to us not properly swaddling.

we no longer swaddle for naps, but definitely swaddle at night.  she is STTN now!
