I took Emmy swimming yesterday and she is getting it down. She actually used arms and legs at same time, doggie paddle style. I didn't let go of her completely but she's getting it! And she takes after me, after 1 hour + of swimming she didn't want to get out of the pool.
I think JLK somehow knows the days of the week. We usually show up on SportyMrs/Mr's doorstep Thursday afternoon and now she asks for them..Well actually they ahve a HUGE stuffed bear names BoBo that she asks for.
Today the last thing she said before going down for her nap was....boooboooo...
I don't think I posted this here yet - just on FB - but this is an AW on my kid and my furbaby.
Dane said his first word a couple of weeks ago...."Ida," our Bernese Mtn. Dog. He looked straight at her and said it, and then did it again the next morning. He hasn't said it since, but both DH and I were there and he was absolutely talking to her.

Aaron's new thing is to stand. He loves to be able to do that. Also he's discovered our cat. She'll let him pet him, it's super funny to watch Aaron's expression when he's trying to pet the cat.
Hearing Aiden say, 'Adios!' is the cutest thing ever!
I love listening to the two of them try to sing their ABCs together. They get all excited and then confuse all the letters and end up giggling and squealing at who can be louder and get to the end fastest.
And the way that Sean asks for his Tigger-Pooh stuffed animals (one, Tigger, the other Pooh) and has them give Aiden kisses....awwwww, priceless!
Natalie is walking...she still won't do it much at home or when we really want her to...but when she has she takes like 7 or 8 steps.
She also LOVES to dance, when ever a fast paced song comes on she sways her head back and for (picture Stevie Wonder) and when she really likes the song she'll shake her whole body....it's great!
Andrew's new thing is climbing into/out of his crib. ?Today he climbed in and started clapping like mad.
Cooper (14 weeks) is trying like crazy to laugh and the cutest little sounds come out of him. ?He also lights up like mad when he sees Daddy, makes me a little jealous it's such a difference but I'm beyond happy that he loves his Daddy so.?
And C's thing is climbing. I had absolutely no idea he could climb stairs until he grinned at me from atop the first step. And then he climbed all the steps!
He also likes to use the swiffer to "sweep" the floor. He'll cry for it (pointing and whining) until we let him hold the handle and then he pushes it back and forth while standing. It's freaking adorable.
Sabrina is a crawling machine. I'll crawl with her all over the house because she thinks it's the funniest thing ever. Yesterday she started laughing so hard she was snorting in between giggles, which I absolutely loved because I have a tendency to snort myself.
It is funny to me how much he listens and then learns later. Lately it has been animal sounds. He knew some basics, but we were teaching him monkey, frog, cow, piggy, lion... for a couple weeks now. He would just listen. This week when I ask him what sound a monkey makes he will make the noise! It is sooo cute! Also counting now, and singing which is the cutest.
Kirsten walks around the house roaring now. DH let her watch The Lion King last week and sat on the floor teaching her how to roar. (Note: so glad her attention span is short, b/c I wasn't a huge fan of her watching that movie!) Anyway, so now she'll just be walking along and let out a big roar. It's so funny. She's also climbing like crazy! We went to the park today and she went for the climbing structure and did it! Granted, I was right behind her hanging on to her pants, but she did really well. K has begun "naming" her grandparents. Both grandmas are "mom-mom" and Dh's dad is "pop-pop." My dad is "ah-doe." It's pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself
Ty's recent thing is playing the piano & singing. We finally got a childrens songs music book and he went through and was so happy to find the Zoo Train as the chapter header. He looked all through the book (200+ pages) to find the 2 songs that have trains and pretended to play the music while singing along. He was sooo proud of himself!
Also, I love his version of "Eensie beensie 'pider" and wonder when he will lose the toddler accent and say it the right way. I hope it's not too soon.
Devin's newest thing is kisses, he will blow kisses to strangers, and give everyone else a big wet kiss onteh lips. I am not sure how the uncle's are reacting to this, but mom and dad and grandma and grandpa love them!!
Re: AW your kid or furbaby!

Marin's newest is kisses too. But hers require a lot more work on the other parties part.
She'll open her mouth hugely wide and wait for you to kiss her and then she'll giggle. It's the most adorable freakin think I've ever seen in my life!
My little guy loves to grab his feet and tries to pull them up to his mouth.
My little guy loves when I hold him when sitting to bounce on me - bending his knees up and down.
he passes things back and forth between hands very easily now.
a funny one- he'll lie on his back, catch a foot in each hand, and fart. ?Loudly. ?And grin. ?Kid has his dad's sense of humor. ?:-)
