DD fell down the stairs today

It's hard for me to even type those words! She's completely fine. She only cried for about 30 seconds but I still rushed her to the doctor - he looked her all over and just said to check on her a couple times tonight to make sure she's arrousable. I just can't believe I let this happen. It's completely my fault and it still makes me sick to my stomach.

She crawled out of the room to chase the kitty. I was too lazy to get up and go after her right away. The basement door was right across the hall and I didn't realize it was open. The next thing I know I heard her falling. THE MOST HORRIBLE SOUND IMAGINABLE. She cried instantly and didn't lose consciousness. In fact, she cries harder when she gets a shot. But I just couldn't believe she was okay after that so I took her in right away.

Ah anyway, I'm babbling. I will never let her out of my sight again!

    Scary... glad she is okay.  I bet you will never leave that door open again though.

    I am sorry that happened and I don't want to make you feel worse, but "I was too lazy to get up and go after her right away.'  My goodness!

    This is my biggest fear.... ?DS fell off of my bed once, I looked away to pull my pants up and BOOM! ?We rushed him to the ER and he was fine but it scared me to death. ?

    She thought the door was closed. She didn't know that it was open. I'm sure if it was she would of jumped up sooner.

    I'm sorry this happened!  It is a terrible feeling.  My DS fell off the couch a couple of weeks ago.  He was totally fine and only cried for about 10 seconds, but I cried on and off all day.  Good luck tonight.

    Ugh.  So glad she is okay.  About 2 weeks ago I was holding my LO up on his changing table and I lost my grip on him (he was standing) and he fell backwards and hit is head on the side.  It was so AWFUL.  I was so disappointed in myself and upset (even though he was fine).  These things happen...hang in there.
