no, our white noise is on a timer. it shuts off after 15 minutes. DD is almost always asleep by then, and if not we extend the timer for another 15 minutes.

Yes. ?We have a white noise generator in his room as well as our own. ?I've always slept with some sort of white noise, and DS seems to fall asleep more quickly and sleep more soundly with it as well.
We don't and we haven't seen a need to have white noise playing yet. Unless something changes, I don't see us starting this since she's sleeping pretty well without it.
