What age when your LO finally transitioned to all table foods? DD won't even eat the Gerber Graduates pastas & stuff. And I have tried offering her a lot of food - lots of variety and certain things that are 'common' baby finger foods (like cheese, pasta, etc.) I've offered numerous times and she just won't eat them. Since she won't have a puree unless she's very hungry, her diet is limited. What she eats isn't necessarily unhealthy, but the variety is seriously lacking. Are we behind the normal transition age or is this still typical for a (almost!) 12 month old?

Re: DD still picky. When was ur DC REALLY on all table foods?
nine months.
we never did stage three purees. she went on a spoon strike and won't let a spoon near her--- that she isn't controlling since.
Alaina ran out of purees 2wks ago and I just didn't replenish them so I had to find things for her to eat. She pretty much didn't like any of it but a few faves did surface (yogurt, toast w cream cheese, chicken breast, peas, carrots, cheese sticks, kashi bars, and bananas) I sort of did what I could with those and keep trying new things as I can. She seemed fine (still had an abundance of energy and sttn and pooped and peed like normal).
Just yesterday I broke down and bought her several jars of veggie purees again (stage 2 because they don't seem to do just veggies in a stage 3 and when they mix the veggies with thier meat in stage 3 it really tastes gross) because I really want her to have things like spinach, green beans, sweet potatoes etc and she doesn't eat them when I make them!! I don't want her to lose the taste for them yanno?
Honestly, he's only really gotten into eating table foods since over 13 months (he's 15 months now). We never did baby food or Gerber Graduates, just whatever grown-up food we've made for him. He's fairly picky even now, but he'll always eat fruit and bread or crackers.
He nurses, and still is, but was getting most of his calories from breastmilk. It's hard not to worry that they'll never eat, but toddlers are good at self-regulating, just keep offering her different options. He still has meals and days where he'll nibble at things, but then chow down at other meals. hth
DS2 - Oct 2010 (my VBAC baby!)
She still isn't at 16+ months! At her 15 month appt I talked to our pedi about it and she wasn't concerned. My main question was about getting her to eat fruits and veggies that weren't purees. The pedi said she'd rather see her eat purees b/c at least she's getting the good stuff! So here are some of the things she might eat:
Breakfast: waffle/french toast/pancake/bagel, Stage 2 fruit, cheese stick
Lunch: slice whole wheat bread/bagel, Stage 2 veggie or fruit, sometimes Boar's Head deli meat, chicken breast nuggets
Dinner: sometimes what we're having, Stage 2 veggie or fruit, chicken nuggets, pasta with tomato sauce
The only solid veggie she'll eat is frozen peas, and the only solid fruit she'll eat is banana and frozen blueberries. She'll eat a lot of other solids but for some reason the chunky fruits and veggies freak her out. I'm not worried as long as she's getting them in some form. As the pedi said to us at the end..."It's your job to offer her a variety of healthy foods, and it's her job to decide what ones she'll eat."
Still waiting (14.5 months). My DS eats almost nothing. Every meal is a battle, we still give purees because even though I offer table food fruits/veggies every day, he has yet to put one in his mouth.
He still nurses a lot, too!
But he'll eat goldfish, bread, bagels, etc.
Emerson was exactly like Stella at that age. She never took purees, cerial, or oatmeal. I just kept offering the soft solids to her and she SLOWLY came around. By a year old she was doing much better and she's striclty on solids now-after skipping the purees and things that babies usually start with.
Keep the faith, she'll pick it up.
