I know this has been asked before, but please humor me. We are trying to have DS sleep in his crib in his own room tonight for the first time. His room adjoins ours. I am feeling sad about it, but I think it's time.

Re: When did you move baby to their own room?
DS was 2 1/2 months old. I was going to do it at 3 months but I got a cold and decided it was a good time to do it then so he wouldn't be right next to me if I was coughing. The first couple of nights I put him in his crib and then brought him back to our room after feeding him in the middle of the night. After the first couple of nights, I got brave and put him back in his crib. It was harder for me than him! He's doing great.. I think he even sleeps better. It was the right time for us and it's really nice not having to tip toe around our bedroom at night now!!
Good luck!

We transitioned dd at 4 weeks. I was really hesitant to do it that early but DH started putting her in her crib when he'd put her down for the night. When she'd wake up to eat I'd bring her back into our room and put her in the PNP. It went on like that for about a week and I finally started putting her back down in her crib. It took awhile for me to adjust but now she sleeps great in her crib and I'm glad we made the transition.
Good luck tonight!
