Hi girls, I am feeling really depressed today. I went to my doctor appointment and I am gaining weight too fast. I gained...gulp...about 12 lbs in the last 5 weeks. My doctor was very rude about it too which didn't help at all. I worked so hard to lose weight a few years ago and I did good maintaining it for the most part, but I am back to where I was when I was at my biggest and I feel so sad about it. My sister is getting married in August (I am due in Oct) and I don't want to be huge! The belly doesn't bother me so much, but my legs, face and arms are what I don't want to get huge. Is anyone having this problem too? Any suggestions or positive reinforcement?

Thanks!
Re: 22 weeks and feeling down
Don't beat yourself up too much ~ I also gained 9lb between my 18w and 22w appointments. I've heard that it's normal to go through a little growth spurt during that time.
I went through this at around the same time as you are. I am overweight and am so hoping to not gain much weight, and out of all the times in my life to gain weight, I am mysteriously not. Weird... but at the same time, I no one can tell I am pregnant either.
I just look like I am gaining more and more weight! LOL
The downs will fade! I promise! I think it is just the hormones. I totally broke down and cried about everything that is making me not feel human, and once it was over, I felt AMAZINGLY better! You worked hard at getting rid of the weight before, it will come off again! You are pregnant girl! You are supposed to gain weight! Who cares what the Dr. is saying!
It will all be better soon, and you will have an amazing new life to share yours with!
HEY AMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am on this board too!!!!!!!!!! YAY!
Hope you feel better soon, if it makes you feel any better, I gained 12 lbs by 11 weeks. Remember you have to take care of that little baby girl! That's what is most important. Call me if you ever need a pick me up!

Totally normal...do not let your doctor make you feel bad...shame on him/her!
I ended up cutting out all refined sugars which helped give me energy toward the end to keep moving all day. I used to be a sugar junky so I do not say this lightly! GL
