DH just told me that he loves Brooke for a girl. I think I kind of like it too. What do you think of when you hear the name Brooke? Kind of cool? Sophisticated? Low-class?? Thanks!
Brooke is my mom's name, so I like it! Growing up she disliked it because she could never find stuff with her name on it, but recently she's noticed that changing. Her name is Brooke Renee, although my grandmother swears that isn't the mn she told the nurse.
I like it. I don't think it is low class at all. I think it's feminine w/o being too frilly or prissy. I also think it's timeless, not trendy, and sounds nice on a child or a grown woman.
That's a name that my DH and I love for a girl too, partly because we love to be outdoors and that's one of the only names we like for a girl that has to do with nature. To us, it seems like a cute little soccer player :-)
Re: WDYT of Brooke?
That's one of my best friend's names, so I think of her. She's cute and blond. Actually, the only other Brooke I know is cute and blonde, too.
One of the Brookes I know is named Brooke Ellen. I always thought that was so pretty.
Love it!
Dh suggested it as a middle name in fact. But the name we're thinking of now is Autumn. Autumn Brooke is a little too earth girl for me.
We're saving Brooke for the next kid.
I think Brooke is a pretty name but my DH always says it reminds him of a porn star name. I doubt you wanted to hear that - sorry.
