well it was a planned induction so aidan was at my parents house.
this time dh doesnt want to plan anything (he wants the "omg my water broke!!" or "omg no we need to go to the hospital", etc) so we will call my bro/sil to come over if its in the middle of the night to sleep here and then my parents will pick them up the next day. if its during the day, my parents will just pick them up or we'll drop them off on the way to the hospital.
My mom and ILs will both come from OOT to fight over who gets to watch DS while we are at the hospital. I imagine they'll just keep him here at our house. ILs will stay at a hotel, so they may take him there while I'm in early labor at home if it works out that way.
Everyone has a two hour drive, so I'm praying nothing happens to prevent at least one of them from getting here in a timely fashion!!
I had a planned c-section for #2, so my MIL came to town the day before & she kept #1 at our house. But, had I gone into labor before then, our plan was for DH to stay with #1 until MIL arrived (a 4 hour drive!) or to call one of our close friends to mind #1 until MIL arrived.
LOL at your MIL yelling at the nurses -- maybe your DH learned her approach from the last time & can do this for you!
We are planning on her staying with MIL/FIL. She is most comfortable there since FIL watches her while I work. Her two cousins also live there (in the basement) so they are all good buds...she probably won't even miss us.
But DH doesn't like the chair/bed that he gets to sleep in so he will probably go home at night and I would like DD to stay with him so she doesn't feel abandon! Plus I want DD to come visit me...I've never been away from her that long
MIL will be with me in the delivery room, so hopefully my SIL will have them. I have an older DC (7) and if I go into labor during the week, we will have to work with his school schedule.
So far though, I'm 2 for 2 for going into labor on a Friday and being home by Sunday. )
depending on when the baby comes, either my MIL or my mom will be staying with us so lovey will just stay home. lovey came pretty early, so not sure what to expect. MIL will come down for Thanksgiving and just stay until my mom comes down mid-December. I'm due on Christmas day so someone will be there! all our family lives far away so this is the best we can do.
Most likely my dad or FIL will take him or whoever wants him...we are lucky enough to have both sides of our family so close. Last time my mom was in L&D so she could PG video tape the whole thing. I am sure my MIL will sneak in like she did the last time...since she is VP of the hospital, I guess that gives her the right to do whatever she wants...grrrrr....
My parents are watching her the whole time I am at the hospital actually... C/S is scheduled for a Friday... so from the Thursday night to possible that tuesday... or whenever I get discharged... DH will have her during the day tho...
I honestly do not know. If my IL's end up moving down here (praying that they do!), he'll go with them. If not...I have an aunt that will be about 45 min away. The problem is that she has a job...what if I go into labor during the day?
I'm having a scheduled C-section so he will be at my parents house, then they will come right before I go in for the C-sec so they can all be there when the baby is born.
I think my in-laws are going to come over here. We have a dog too so it makes it easier to have everyone here, plus Adam will be more comfortable at home I'm sure.
DS will be staying with my parents. I made sure to take care of that immediately knowing DH likes to go ahead and ask his parents to watch him ahead of time without telling me first (just in case). My MIL actually asked me the other day "am I watching Camden when you go to the hospital" umm no? Don't you think I probably would have let you know that already? Duh!
I would feel much more comfortable knowing DS is with my parents!
my dd stayed at home and my mom came over to watch her. My mom also brought her up to see me and meet her new sister when it was time. I was in the hospital for 24 hours and then came home so I wasn't gone too long. If I could of, I would of went home sooner but the hospital required 24 hours.
It was a planned c-section so we arranged to have a single friend come stay at our house with DS. If I had gone into labor before for some reason she would have adjusted her schedule and made herself available then. It was great because DS got to stay in familiar surroundings.

Well since my husband will most likely be in Germany when baby #2 is born, I will have my mom with during the c-section so DS will be with DH's parents as soon as they get up here. I have a friend who can take DS too if the inlaws cant get up here right away.

Since this will be a scheduled c-section he will probably be in the waiting room with our family members and then stay at BIL's with grandparents while we are in the hospital.
When DS was born, my mom was in town (she came out a week before my due date) so she stayed with DD at our house.
This time around we won't have any family around at all. We have a few friends who will watch the kids for us during labor. If I go into labor at night they will come over and watch the kids at our house until morning, then take them home with them when they wake up.
I have no idea (yet). I'm having #2 at a birthing center so there shouldn't be an overnight stay involved (hopefully!). We don't have any family in town so depending on the timing of things we'll have a friend or neighbor come over. This is seriously stressing me out.
Our babysitter is also one of our good friends. They watched DS when I was in labor with DD, and watched both of them while I was having my m/c. They're actually the only people to have taken the kids overnight so far.
I had a scheduled repeat c-section so my parents flew in and stayed at our place with DD. Turns out I went into labor on my own the day of the c-section and had a vaginal delivery, so it worked out really well!
DD will most likely stay with my sis. DD is in love with her and of course her cousins! one of which is 11 days older then her. I can't imagine her being anywhere else.
I will have a scheduled C-section. DD with will be with my parents and/or sister. I think I am going to see if they will just come stay at our house since DD is more comfortable sleeping there. (we only live 20 min away from each other). If I would happen to go into labor before that - she would probably be with her sitter and then a fam member will go pick her up.
thankfully we have a trustworthy neighbor who babysits for G sometimes, so she agreed to be our emergency contact for when I started going into labor...we called her and she was here in five mins. She stayed with G for an hour and a half while waiting for my parents to get here, then my parents took over from there! they stayed at our house and brought G back and forth for visits.
Interestingly, with #2 I had contractions all day, but they didn't really come on strong until after I put #1 to bed, took a shower, cleaned up the house, and made brownies (stupid nesting!!!). After that, things started rocking and rolling. DH called IL's and they came over. #2 was born at 1:38AM. DH waited until I got settled in my PP room and headed home to be there when #1 got up. It could not have worked out better time-wise!

I had a nice easy predictable labor, so that helped.
On Thurs night, I told my dad to plan to come first thing in the morning, and I would call him if I needed to leave sooner. He came at 5, stayed with my daughter at the house all day, and then my inlaws picked her up in the afternoon and took her back to their house for the next few days until I was out of the hospital. My dad was closer, so it made more sense for him to come on short notice, and then my inlaws had time to get ready (and stop by the hospital to meet my son) before they were on duty for the rest of hte week.

Well, it'll all work out somehow....I hope...
I hadn't thought about this yet....
But I'm guessing with my sister who lives around the corner from me. Thank goodness for that!

She will be with us until one of the moms show up. Both of them live out of town. They are both an hour plane ride away.
