I think it gets hooked up to the water line that goes into the tank....not sure as I don't have one, but make sure you turn the water off before you do anything.

Good call, lol. ?That is totally the kind of thing I would forget to do. ?

I think I'll ask our handyman to take care of it...?

I think this is an excellent idea. My dad is pretty handy and can do just about anything and he had his plumber friend install ours. GL I hope you enjoy it as much as I like mine!

Ok, good to know. ?I really don't want to risk any leakage, especially since we just had our water heater leak so our insurance company wouldn't be very happy about that, lol.
At 20m, I'm still waiting for the ploppable poo stage, so I decided it wasn't worth the wait anymore, lol. ?
Yes toilet leaking = bad news. My parents had a teensy little something break on their toilet line while they were at work. In 8ish hours, it flooded almost the entire first floor of their home and probably cost $15k to fix, not to mention the hassle of moving furniture, important stuff being destroyed, etc. Maybe my dad was just a little paranoid after that LOL.
Mine is a homemade one so the spray strength is not adjustable and is quite strong. I only make a small mess with it when the poo is pretty spread out across the whole diaper and I am trying to spray certain areas without the whole diaper getting dunked in the icky water. But it's usually just a teeny bit of overspray that I clean up with some TP.
Prior to the sprayer I used dunking . . . in a low water efficient toilet. Not so fun. Diaper sprayer is 100 times easier and less messy than that! I also tried the liners but hated wasting 7+ per day just for one poo (since DD is not a predictable pooper). And, it usually didn't catch it all so it almost felt pointless.

I installed my BG diaper sprayer w/o help from my husband. I was so proud! I followed the directions pretty well, and he did the tightening, that was it. )
You have to be sure to turn it to the off position when it's not in use, otherwise the plumbing could break and water leakage could happen. We have had no issues, and I honestly don't know what people do without this thing!!
If you open up the package, you'll see more detailed instructions. I installed it myself and it was very easy. Just turn off the water to the toilet, unhook the water hose and attach.
