how old was your LO when you started using activity mats?

    We started using ours around 2 weeks old.  She would do tummy time on it and would also look at the light-up star that played music.  We have used it daily since.

    DS has been on it since he was born, but is only recently starting to watch the items that dangle and the lights.

    We used it from day one for tummy time but he didn't get interested in it until he was probably 8-10 weeks old.

    DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
    DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption

    Same as others, used it for tummy time right away but DS didn't like all the stuff until about 6 weeks.  He still absolutely loves it.  I can be playing with him in the same room and he will spot it and just stare until I put him in it.

    We bought one around 5 weeks.  He loved to look at the sun that lit up and played music.  We're still using it now - but he usually rolls off of it now.

    we didn't have one until she was about 6 weeks. I would lay her on it(on her back) so I could make a cup of coffee, fix a snack, etc. But, she really didn't get interested in any of the toys until 2-2.5months.

    we bought one around 2 weeks, and she didn't like it, so at one month we got another one (fisher price rainforest), and she loves it.. ever since then we use it several times a day.
