  Different doctors give different instructions.?

  I would call tomorrow to be certain you follow your OB's guidelines. I was told to eat normally and not told to avoid anything in particular, but I know lots of ladies on the boards were told to fast or given specific instructions regarding proteins and carbs and sugars for the day before.?

  I had mine in the morning and was told I could have a light breakfast (toast, etc) so I think I had toast and OJ. ?The doctor gave me the drink at my previous appt so I could drink it at home and go to the office an hour later. It has to be finished within 5 minutes of opening the bottle. ?I drank it within 5 minutes, then went to the office about 45 minutes later. ?When it had been an hour, I went back to the lab to have my blood drawn. ?That's about it, pretty simple!

  just don't eat anything sugary in the am.  I had eggs and cheese for breakfast before both of mine- and passed both.

  I've been through the 1 hr and 3 hr tests 2x now (once for DS and now w DD)...i did not need to do anything different for 1 hr (no special diet or fasting), but did have to fast for 3 hr.
