I have never tested before 14dp trigger. I think that much sooner & you would risk testing too early to get a BFP. I would consider testing at 13dp but probably not any sooner.

I am with everyone to wait 14 days. However, i understand the urge to pee on a stick and sometimes no matter how much I itend to hold out, I just can't. The only thing I would say to you if you are the same ; ) is to go to the dollar store and get their pg test and test the trigger out - that way you can test the trigger for the same amount it would cost you to buy one reg HPT.
The last cycle my trigger was out by day 10 and the one before that was day 7. I always start testing about 6 or 7 days after the trigger. Right now I am 7 days past it and yesterday and today I got light lines so I have a feeling it will be gone in the next day or two. I like to test it out so that I know its out
my RE actually told me not to do an HPT at all. he says wait 16 days and if i don't have AF come in for a beta. he said there's too much uncertainty and ensuing stress with the POAS method.
if you want to know if the test is "accurate" it is best to test out the trigger... POAS starting about a week past trigger and keep peeing until it turns negative. then you know after that if you get a positive, its real.
but if you haven't tested out the trigger, then i wouldn't recommend testing before 14 days. there's a good chance you could still get a false positive.
good luck!
Brought to you by IVF, ICSI, limited fert, and oocyte cryopreservation. Because we're fancy like that.
I think I'll test it out. ?I have a consult with a new doc at 14DPO, which would be very nice to cancel due to BFP! ?(Though I don't have much hope of that...)
I start about 7 days in and POAS until I get the BFN that the trigger is out (usually 9 days after trigger). Then, I wait until 14dpo to test again. Good luck!
