And it's a girl!!! We are beyond thrilled! She was not shy and both the u/s technician and the doctor agreed she is 100% girl. We were in there for about an hour & 1/2 and they took their time going over everything with us. All her measurements were well within range and according to the doctor, everything looked perfect.
We were seeing the high risk specialist for the first time and she was wonderful. She started off by giving us the Integrated Screening results: Downs 1:800, Trisomy 18 1:8000, Spinal Defects (NTSD - I think) 1:8000. She said that the results, coupled with today's u/s should put us very much at ease. (which it surely did)
Our little girl cooperated like a champ and showed off her goods right away. Her heart looked perfect and they could clearly see all 4 chambers - it was cool to see the blue & red highlights showing the blood flow. She was rolling over and sucking her thumb a lot. We saw her cerebellum and the doctor said it was formed perfectly. It was all so very exciting!!!
I am so much more relaxed and hope I can spend my time enjoying myself for as long as I can!!! Hope you are all doing well!

Re: Just back from Level 2 u/s & 1st visit w/high risk doc
Congrats Michele!
I have mine next week...
Just curious... are those percentages pretty close to what you were told after earlier tests? (NT Scan, bloodwork, etc)
Thanks!

Thanks Michele... I'm hoping and praying that my Downs numbers improve at least a little bit when we do the measurements, etc. (Even tho I know those are just guidelines!)
