I am up way too early, making sure I have everything pulled together. Do I need to bring any documentation about Mason being "mine", since dh isn't traveling with us?
Thanks.

The airlines asked me for Maddy's birth certificate. If you have it, you might take it.
Edit: They did that to prove her age since I didn't buy her a seat (because they couldn't tell from looking at her that she wasn't two yet ), so I don't know if you'd need it other than that to prove he was yours.....
I know your gone now, but I ony had to bring it to show her birthday. We too used the free, lap child option until the age of 2.
I just happened to look up what I needed for a lap child and I ws SO glad I did since they did ask at the airport both ways. (Again shouldn't be a problem for you since you bought him a seat)

I don't have an answer for your question, but I just wanted to say have a great trip!
I've never needed it, and I've done two solo trips. My guess is they might care if you were the dad flying alone, but not the mom. Sad but true.
Have a good trip.
I've never been asked for it and never brought it either.
