3rd Trimester

Should I go to target to update my registry?

My 2nd and final shower is this sat and there is pretty much nothing left on my registry to purchase.  I added a few things online, but I am not even sure those items are carried in the store.  I was thinking since i am off work tomorrow I would go to target and add a few small things I know are carried in the store to my registry.

Should I bother adding items or just go with what is left on my registry?

  • I went and did this. It doesn't hurt anything!! I would if I were you!

  • Go ahead, you might as well. If you can't find anything you love just add a few decent priced items. You may be able to just do some awesome returns. lol.
  • Depends on how many people will be going to that specific store, I feel as if the merchandise varies from store to store.

If you do it online, there are tons of stuff that is "online only"--kind of annoying.

  • i would add items, you can tell online whats avail. in the store or people will buy random items you dont know where they come from and may get stuck with.

  • I would if I were you... but I wanted to say I'm totally jealous of you. My 2nd shower is this coming Sunday, and only a handful of things have been purchased off the registry.

  • My shower is Saturday also and I guess I should do this since I'm going to be in Target tomorrow anyway.
  • It wouldnt hurt.?
  • Thanks, I am definitly going to make the trip out there.  Apparently no one likes BRU because it seems like the majority of the guests are going to target.

I thought this way too since everyone I know lives closer to Target, but it seems they're taking the trip out to BRU. ?I'm kind of glad about this since most of my registry items are w/ them.?

I'm afriad that's what is going to happen with my registry's too. I'm registered at BRU and Target... and I don't really like my Target registry nearly as much. Hope that people actually go to BRU.

  • I double registered for a few items at both Target and BRU, since I know some people prefer one store or another. ?I will just have to keep an eye on it.

I think adding to your registry makes it easier on your guests (if they decide to even look at the registry). ?I actually registered for extra "cute" items (toys, blankets, sleep sacks) since that is what people like to buy. ?In a perfect world, I will keep them, but if I am seriously lacking in some necessities, I may trade them in.

  • It's easier to add stuff to your registry that you need than to get stuff you don't need and have to return it.

Now I would add clothes by specific sizes that you didn't get if you didn't already add them before (I didn't get anything above 3 months at mine and received NO pants in any size).  Also, add more wipes and stuff like that which will add up over time.
