My baby "non-shower" brunch had to be moved up because of a family issue with my friend who is organizing it. It will be on Sunday, the 14th. Evites are going out tonight.
Normally, I'd never invite someone to something less than two weeks (or even right at two weeks) before the date. This is a small event (15 or so people) and a handful of them have already been told about the new date. But still, as far as officially inviting everyone, I feel kind of bad and like we're breaking some etiquette rule. But I'm determined not to stress about it because... that's the point of not having a shower! LOL
I hope my guests forgive me.
Re: Invite less than 2 weeks - how annoyed would you be?

Baby BOY!
If someone else is hosting it, they can't be upset at you.
It stinks, but at least most have already been made aware of the new date. I'm sure most are understanding provided they did not make special arrangements to come (i.e. hotel, other showers, etc.). Don't stress about it!
I got an invite to a shower in the mail....I had no idea I was getting another shower...on Tuesday..and the shower was on Saturday (4 days before the shower!)...
I'm not sure why the hostess (an older lady who's a family friend) wanted to throw one for me and thought that would be enough time...but it turned out ok ...shocking....and I'm sure it caught a lot of the guest off guard but we had about 15 people there
I love your bedding so cute.just thought you should know?
True- I'M not sending out last minute invites. LOL
And no, no special arrangements. Only local close family and friends will be invited.

Not to mention, my shower was only 2 weeks ago on the 17th of May.
DH has had to say this exact thing so many times. LOL

I hear ya about the invites. Since it is a small gathering and since many of them already know about the change hopefully it won't be too bad.
(Just saw the name for the little little man- very cute!)
