Anyone catch this advocate article

and if you did, can you tell me what the catch is? Or, you know, if it's some sort of alternate dimension or something?

    Well the article is only speculation.  No one's saying for sure that this is what Cheney will do.  As the article says "Cheney said in the 2004 vice presidential debates this is the one topic -- same-sex marriage -- that he disagreed with [President Bush] on and would say so openly."  Maybe now that  his political career is winding down, he'd feel comfortable making a bold move.

    well, what do you know? he actually did it.

    of course he said it should be a states issue, but hey. it's something. actually, to be specific, he said that the way it should be handled TODAY is as a states issue--which to me is saying something completely different and essentially arguing for what GLBT organizations are saying should happen, what with their reluctance to take the issue to SCOTUS.
