NBR: What is your fave thing about where you live?

I love that people here seem to be much nicer than in NJ where I grew up, the STL Cardinals, toasted rav, & wineries ( well not now)

  • The weather! I am definitely a sunshine and blue skies kind of girl! I wish we lived in Nashville with the rest of the fam because there is nothing like the kindness of the people there but CA will do for now.

  • I liked how cold it was this winter ( I usually hate the cold) and hiking's not bad either  but it is too hot here in the summer and I am dreading it.
  • I like the food, the diversity of people, the different landscapes, and the weather. ?
  • I love my hometown. ?Both DH and I grew up around here, and our families are mostly all here. ?I love being a 10-minute drive from my parents. ?I love that we have great schools. ?I love that there are 4 miles within a 20-minute radius. ?We're a big area but we still have kind of a small-town feel.

Edit: ?I also LOVE the Red Wings! ??

  • We're so close to everything, we can be on the river in less than 15 minutes. Plus there are all kinds of cheap or free things to do with DD
  • The only thing I like about DC is the fact that my family lives here too. I can't wait to move!
  • I love the mountains on the horizon, and the big city amenities with a small town feel!
  • I love the weather!  It's HOT but it's great.  You can't beat 7 months of summer!!

Also we live in a suburb of Dallas, in a development that is convenient to many things, but also in the country.  I pass by two horse farms and some cows on my way home every day.  I love it.

  • I love the absolute beauty of Lexington - I love driving around in the spring and seeing the tiny foals running in the green fields with their mamas, I love the beautiful horse farms, I love that the people are so nice and diverse, I love living somewhere where the horse is honored and cherished. There really isn't much I don't love about living here.
  • I love the seasons (especially fall) and the lakes.

  • I love our dog parks, being 30 minutes from downtown Chicago (I love watching the lighting of the Christmas Tree and seeing the lights in winter), I love being close to family, we have a boat on the chain/river, I love all of the communities and park districts around here. Plus, this is home and this is where DH and I are meant to be for now!
