I prefer Caitlin above all the ones you listed, but of your choices, I'd pick Kaitlyn.

Hmm... I'll have to reconsider. I chose the ones starting with K because she would most likely be called Kate or Katie at some point. I guess I don't hate Cate though...

I have a friend, Caitlin, who goes by "Cait" socially. I also have a relative named Caitlyn, who often goes by "Caity." Neither is the typical way of spelling Kate, but it's never been an issue for either girl. GL!

I only like the traditional Caitlin or Kaitlin. I think the suggestion of Caitlyn would be the most unusual spelling, other than like Catelynn or something.

I know Cates and Kates. C Cate is definitely not unusual.

I don't see where people think these are unusual or made up spellings? According to baby name wizard, Kaitlyn is the most common spelling followed by Katelyn and Caitlin

Those spellings are common, yes, but it doesn't mean they're correct. When I see K(C)aitlin spelled Katelyn, Kaitlyn, etc., I just assume that the parents didn't educate themselves about the history or origin of the name first. Even though the other spellings are popular, they are actually made up.

I have to LOL. Didn't somebody have to "make up" the original spelling in the first place? All names are made up!

Well Caitlin is the Irish form of Catherine. The spelling is based on the Irish Gaelic language so it's been around for hundreds and hundreds of years! I'd rather respect their culture and use the spelling that's been around for centuries as opposed to one that was just recently made up in the last decade. But whatever...
