Ok I need some help/advice.
Since we may have a fetal heart defect, my doc wants me to deliever at a different hospital with pediatric surgeons and cardiologist to look her over when shes born, instead of shipping her there from somewhere else. I'm fine with that. I met the new doc that will be delivering and I like him. Great. So my doc said she wants me from now on to see the new doc since he should be knowledgable about whats going on instead of me just showing up when in labor. Makes sense. I call today to make an appointment with the new doc for my 38 week check. Apparently he doesn't know that he is taking my care from now on and the receptionist has to check with him about it. We made an appointment for the 15th for an u/s. Thats 2 days before my EDD and I don't want an u/s, I just want someone to check my cervix and my bp (since I have problems with it being high). She either doesn't get it or doesn't understand. So I called my original doc and she isn't in the office and is off tomorrw. I don't know what I'm suppose to do.
Should I call and just make an appointment with my original doc and explain it to her then or just try and call wednesday and talk to her and see what she thinks I should do? I'm at a loss of what to do. Its so frustrating that I may have to go 2 weeks without being seen by a doctor and a lot can happen in 2 weeks.
Thanks ladies! Sorry its so long. I could have went into more detail but I tried to limit it as much as I could.
Re: 2 weeks without seeing a dr @ almost 38 weeks?
Perhaps. When I was with her Friday, she said I should call them that afternoon to get in this week to see the new doc. I was assuming she was sending them over that day. Maybe she didn't. IDK. And its ridiculously hard to talk to the doctor on the phone so I'm frustrated.
Call your original dr and tell her what you said here and get her opinion.
