I am really nervous...

in 3rd Trimester

I am planning on telling my boss this week that effective July 1st I am leaving my managment position. I would like to come back part time in the fall but...

A.) I would be working to just pay off infant childcare.

B.) I want to stay home with my baby.

C.) I hate my job. It is stressful and has long hours. It is going to be a stretch for DH and I but like I said....it wouldn't make since to come back and pay for childcare.

I am pretty sure he has NO idea. I have only had this job for one year and they have been really flexible with me going to Dr.'s appointments and everything so I do feel bad. I am just afraid of his reaction.

    I'm sure a part of him is expecting it. In my experience, it's fairly common for a mom-to-be or new mom to change their mind about returning to work.

    i'm planning on telling my boss 4 weeks before i'm supposed to come back from leave that i'm not actually coming back - it scares the heck out of me and i don't know why.

    do whatever makes you happy. working just to pay off childcare sucks. if you don't need the money (ie you can afford to stay at home) then do it. you can always go back to work later, when you find something you'd enjoy. good luck!!!!!
