First time ive ever cried in the Dr.s office :(

so as my dr would say "you are completely closed up. Your LO just isnt ready to come out. Lets schedule an induction".
so if my LO doesnt decide to come with in the next two weeks i will be getting induced on the 17th 
my due date is the 9th.
today kinda sucks..
does anyone have anything to cheer me up?

It's only 16 more days possible before LO is HERE FOR SURE!
I know it sucks, however just think, you have a date that you won't go over. LO will ahve to be out BY the 17th or ON the 17. The end is in sight!

Chin up - two weeks is a long time! You'll probably go into labor before then anyway.

oh but that means NOTHING! my mother was as tight as a drum--that didn't stop her from going into labor. LOADS of women dilate at the drop of a hat... have you read midwesttexans birth story? she was all closed up but dilated quickly and delivered before her due date.

fwiw my induction date is the 17th too, and i'm due the day before you. here's hoping we don't have to wait that long!

Man, so your doc will only let you go 41 weeks and one day? I think that's what mine does too. I'm SO sure I'm going to be in your situation in about 8 weeks. I'm sorry :-(
But, on the upside, the 17th is a really long time away still!!!! There's plenty of time to go into labor naturally -- just because you're not dilated/effaced now doesn't mean that you can't go into labor tomorrow!!
I say it's nearly time to start doing all those old wives tales meant to trigger labor...
Yeah, like PP said, don't let no progress dissapoint you. I have been 2 cm and 50%, +1 station for three weeks now and am still a week away from my due date with no other indication that this baby is coming any time soon and no change. Things can change very quickly!! GL!

honestly Dr's can't tell crap from internal exams. You can be "completely close up" and have the kid the next day or you can be 2 cm dilated for weeks.
My dr actually doesn't do internals for just that reason.they don't tell you anything and either unnecessarily excite or dissapoint you.
