AW: Cradle!
Before I was born, my dad and grandpa (mostly my grandpa) built a cradle. My mom got it down from the attic recently and it had a crack in it. My grandparents were in town this weekend and my grandpa fixed it. On the bottom is says "Made by Grandpa Sonny - Dec. 1979." I can't even begin to explain how much it means that we'll get to use it!
(And on that note - hopefully we'll be officially "paper pregnant" in about 2 weeks!)

AAHH! Laura, that's a beautiful piece of furniture, and it's a beautiful story and reminder of your family.
And what do you mean when you say "paper pregnant"--I've seen it used for people who are through the homestudy process, people who are matched with a bio mother, and people who know the day they're bringing home their LO, so I'm curious about how far along you guys are!

Krista - I've heard it referred to different points in the process too - I'm going with once we're "active" (bio finished, home study complete, just waiting for a bm to pick us.) I'm going with that point mostly because I want to be able to say that we are paper pregnant! I think we'll be active in about 2 weeks - although fingers crossed that it happens this week instead!
