Buying my own birthday present

Ok, so I am at a deciding point and need your help.  I found a really pretty pendant at the store that is 30% off.  I have wanted a pendant like this for a while (it is a floating heart in 18k gold).  DH says to get it.  My problem is that I also want a new lens for my camera.  I know DH would tell me to just get that too, cause he is awesome like that and knows that I rarely find things I want, but I just don't want to spend that much on myself.  So, be honest, what woudl you do?  Get the practical lens, the pretty necklace or both?

 PS I should add that together we are looking at approx  $300
